Five holiday party looks to wear with your Bubblegum Shoes this season

Posted on

So many holiday parties and engagements to attend, yet only so many nights you can run around in uncomfortable footwear.  Why not enjoy spending your festive nights out with friends and family.  Flats and party dresses are the height of chic right now (see Alexa Chung hitting the town almost any night of the week in this exact ensemble and in a couple examples below) and with our variety of comfortable, stylish jelly shoes, you will find the perfect look for an Instagram-worthy night under the mistletoe!

The flirty full skirt

Nothing says “ready for fun” like a short or mid-length dress with a full skirt.  You will want to rock around the Christmas tree in a little number like the one Ms. Chung is modeling here.   Slip on a pair of our stylish black Gracie sandals to complete this Audrey Hepburn-esque look and you are ready to be the belle of any ball you are headed to.

Nothing says playful glam like a little skirt and a big bow.  The Gracie sandals would be cute with this dress, but our super feminine Becky Wedges would create a look that will turn heads as you deck the holly in your jellies.

Baby it’s cold outside. . . so bundle up adorably and get to the party comfortably

When you look at all the pretty holiday dresses in the store, it is sometimes hard to remember how much the temps are bound to drop by the time the festivities start.  So, why not follow the lead of the aways adorably stylish Zooey Deschanel and pair a holiday  party ensemble with a sparkly jacket and some tights to keep your legs warm.  You can keep this look sensible with stylish, comfortable jelly shoes from Bubblegum Shoes.  An obvious contender might be the Becky Wedges or Daisey Flats, but if you have to walk to your party location, the Maddie moccasins, with their effortless, “go with everything” vibe, will also get you there in style.    We are quite certain Zooey would approve.

Be that festive lady in red. . . or blue or green

You can’t go wrong wearing traditional colors to a holiday gathering.  You will feel like a queen (or maybe a First Lady) while wearing these rich colors.  Whether it’s traditional Christmas red and green or brilliant blue for Hanukkah, a vivid holiday dress will make a statement.  In such incredible colors, you can go with simple black or nude in your shoe.  The comfortable, stylish Daisey flat would beautifully compliment any of  these different styles.

Shimmery in sequins

The holidays are a time to sparkle!  If there was ever a time of year to get decked out in sequins, this is it.  You will catch the light of every twinkle on the tree and every candle burning bright as you shimmy your way through that holiday bash.  While this dress looks cute with the comfortable, stylish jelly flats, it would be positive darling with a strappy pair of Becky Wedges in black - - or bright Pink!

Long skirts for long winter nights

If you are headed to a more formal event, you can’t beat a mid-length or long gown for all-out glam. You can keep this look fresh and not overly “done” with unfussy hair and jewelry. Stylish, comfortable jelly sandals and flats are a bit of a twist with a full-length gown, but it’s that touch of the unexpected that can bring an entire outfit to life.

Whatever you choose to wear while hovering under the mistletoe or dashing through the snow, we want to wish you a very Happy Holidays and a bright new year!  See you in 2018!
